here’s a 2nd mixtape (and some of Angie’s photos as the cover art). little more themed toward valentine’s day (and the random emotions that come with it). the tracks play as one complete track. let me know if you enjoy it! :)
Here were my favorites.
Let me know if you agree or let me know what were your favorites?

Crazy Heart - 8.5/10
I went and saw Crazy Heart last night in the theater. I was stoked that it finally got a wider release (2 total theaters) in Arizona. But one was down the street. I hadn’t seen a movie in awhile and was kinda having withdrawals. I usually like watching the shows like the Golden Globes and Screen Actor Guild Awards. But sometimes it kinda gives you too much to look forward to seeing that Jeff Bridges has won both of the Best Actor Awards for his performance in this movie and he’ll most likely be the front runner for the Oscar which was unveiled today. I really enjoyed his performance and also that of Maggie Gyllenhaal and Colin Farrell. This movie was all around amazing acting. The plot was really good but it kinda reminded me of the Wrestler from last year: “A broken down has been.”

The Coachella lineup was announced today:

I am more than super stoked to see this festival. I have gone the past 5 years and really have enjoyed it. It’s put on by some awesome people and in a rad little area in Coachella, California. I’m just glad they have found a way to do it earlier in April than in the past of the hotter month of May.
Here’s who I am stoked to see: Sunny Day Real Estate, LCD Soundsytem, Faith No More, Passion Pit, Grizzly Bear, She & Him, MGMT (again), Hot Chip (3x), Thom Yorke ????, Phoenix, De la Soul, The Big Pink, Jay-Z, Little Boots, Miike Snow, and DJ Lance Rock!
So are you going? If you are, who would you like to see? If you aren’t, what would you give to be able to go and who would you see?

The Lovely Bones - 4/10
I went and saw this movie on Friday. While I had some really low expectations of the movie, I heard the book was amazing. I really thought the storyline was a good idea, it really wasn’t presented well at all. I was pretty confused most of the movie. The special effects were gorgeous, but they didn’t fit the way I thought the story could of been. It seemed too much “blockbuster-ish” because of Peter Jackson and his ties to WETA. Definitely a movie I wished was better.

Youth in Revolt - 5/10
I had kinda high expectations for this movie. It was marketed everywhere. I saw the trailers a probably too many times. Seems like most of the funnier parts were in the Trailer which sucks. The story had potential. I wasn’t really impressed with Michael Cera. He is going to have a really hard time not playing a High Schooler in his future roles. I am still kinda bummed my expectations weren’t met.
I’m going to be giving reviews on this personal blog. I’ll review every movie I see in the actual movie theaters, but I won’t review a movie rental. I’m hoping to not give out any spoilers. Just a small paragraph.
